Elora has been performing for audiences since childhood.  A “choir girl” for life and a classically trained mezzo-soprano, she has been dancing on and off for most of her life.  She has been a student of Filipino fold dance, Polynesian dance, Ballroom dance, and African dance.  Elora is thankful to have found in belly dance a great joy, an effective medium for expression, and such a welcoming community of wonderful women.  She looks forward to being a student of this dance for life.

Emily says that this is the only form of dance she has ever been trained in, and absolutely loves it!  Working full time and doing some free lance graphic design work don't allow for much free time, but she loves to devote whatever time she can to belly dance.  Although challenging, belly dancing is very freeing and gratifying. Being able to dance with Fantasha has been one of her greatest experiences thus far.

Over 20 years ago, a work colleague introduced Shakar (Armenian for “sugar”) to belly dancing at the annual Lebanese festival in Easton.  Life altering events in the aftermath of 9/11 allowed Shakar to finally pursue her passion for dance.  Karma brought her to Tasha with a shared special connection to 9/11 and the military.  Shakar is Annie Osika in everyday life – mother of two handsome young men and Vice President of Commercial Real Estate Lending at Lafayette Ambassador Bank.  Annie would especially like to thank her mom for this emotional, physical and spiritual gift of dance…time spent with talented, inspiring women of all ages.  One of Annie’s favorite quotes:  “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain.”

Natalie has always been fascinated with belly dance and finally decided to give it a try a few years ago. She has been dancing ever since and is thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of Fantasha.  Natalie teaches art and lives in Easton, Pa. She looks forward to dancing, learning, and performing in the years to come.

Demia chose her belly dance name because it describes her perfectly.  The name means "Devotee of Dionysus" in Greek, or as she says, it means Theater Geek.  Mixing her eclectic dance education, passion for performance, and fearless joy of experimentation, she brings a style of dance to the stage that is a little different, but always entertaining.  After studying ballet, tap & jazz with a Rockette for several years when she was younger, Demia went on to learn "Broadway Dance," which is a strange mix of most dance styles known to man, from several teachers.  She has a BA in Theater from George Mason University where she concentrated in theater design, production and administration and currently works at the State Theatre.  Demia's fascination with belly dance started when she saw pictures that her father had taken of a belly dancer that was at a family party.  Then in January 2010 she found Tasha, a teacher who wasn't afraid to take her as a student regardless of her size and issues.  Later, she found out that Tasha was the belly dancer from the pictures that her father had taken, completing the circle of her first stage of her belly dance journey.

The Fantasha Dancers welcome Dahlia to the troupe.  She has been studying belly dance for several years, after one hundred years of ballet! Her gorgeous style is a welcome addition to the troupe.

Lori tells us that in 2012, she fell into belly dancing while at a Christmas party and was introduced to Tasha, then.  With no dance experience, she took the free demo class  and within a month, fell in love with the dance.

Being a shy person, she feels that belly dancing has brought her out of her shell and helped with self-esteem issues.

She intends to belly dance as long as she can.

Orchid loves to dance and believes that everyone one has the ability to learn new techniques and be passionate about the art.  Born in the Dominican Republic, Orchid came to the US at the age of one where she has been dancing since the age of three.  In the 8th grade she won a talent show where the prize was a one year scholarship to a local ballet academy.  At the age of 15 Orchid moved to the Lehigh Valley with her family where she taught Latin Dancing in the early 90’s.  She later saw belly dancing online and decided that it was one more style of dancing she had to add to her repertoire.

Though Orchid was only able to study ballet for one year, she had continued her dance education and developed diverse techniques in Merengue, Bachata, Salsa, Modern Dance, African, and Hip Hop.  She is currently a student of Cabaret style belly dance from Tasha and Hipnosis-Style Tribal from Brigid.  Orchid shares her love of dance by being a teaching assistant at Dance Phillipsburg.

Orchid still lives in Pennsylvania with her family, including her son.  She is known as one of the more stylish dancers because of her eclectic and fashionable dance wardrobe and the stunning product displays she creates for the studio.
